2023 FILA Easter Bowl Player Field Announced With Top American Junior Talent Set To Compete At Indian Wells

One of the nation’s top junior tournaments returns to the Indian Wells Tennis Garden from March 25-April 1

INDIAN WELLS, Calif. (March 23, 2023) – The FILA Easter Bowl will return to the Indian Wells Tennis Garden for the 55th edition of one of the nation’s largest and most prestigious junior tennis tournaments. This year’s tournament will take place from March 25-April 1 as a USTA Level 1 event and the official USTA Spring National Championship.

Past champions of the event include some of the greatest American tennis icons of all time like John McEnroe, Tracy Austin, Jennifer Capriati, Andy Roddick, and more. The majority of the current class of professional American stars have also graced the courts of the Easter Bowl in the past, with top current ranked players like Taylor Fritz, Frances Tiafoe, Jenson Brooksby, Mackenzie McDonald, Marcos Giron, Claire Liu, Emma Navarro and more headlining the list of former Easter Bowl champions who are now competing at the highest level on the ATP and WTA tours.

The week-long event will take place at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden, the site of the annual BNP Paribas Open. The tournament will feature a 64-person singles draw, and 32-team doubles draw in all divisions including Boys and Girls 18s, 16s, 14s and 12 and under.

This year’s FILA Easter Bowl girls’ field is highlighted by 18’s No. 1 seed Valerie Glozman of Bellevue, Washington – who returns to the Indian Wells Tennis Garden as the reigning 16’s Easter Bowl champion. The girls’ 18’s field is also headlined by Tianmei Wang of San Marino, California. Wang is the No. 1 ranked player for her age group in the state.

New Jersey’s James Lian headlines the field for the Boys 18’s and enters the Easter Bowl as the reigning champion of the USTA 18s Winter National Championships in Orlando. New York’s Stephan Gershfeld and Florida’s Tygen Goldammer round out the list of top three seeds in this age group.

The girls’ 16s top-seeded players include No. 1 seed Claire Hill of Cary, North Carolina as well as No. 2 seed Leena Friedman, who is fresh off a championship in the 16s division at the USTA Winter National Championships. The boys’ 16s field is led by No. 1 seed Dominick Mosejczuk of East Elmhurst, New York. For complete player fields, please visit the USTA website.

The Boys & Girls 12 & 14’s will start on Saturday, March 25 and the finals will be on Thursday, March 30th. The Boys & Girls 16’s & 18’s will start on Monday, March 27 and the finals will be on Saturday, April 1st.
